How SS-31 works

SS-31 concentrates in the inner mitochondrial membrane where it binds cardiolipin, stabilising cristae architecture and protecting cytochrome c from peroxidation. Electron transport becomes less leaky, so ATP output rises and reactive oxygen species fall.
